I’m Thankful For …
On this Thanksgiving day 2013 I thought I would list a few things that I'm truly thankful for. I truly am not being sarcastic about any of these either, despite what my readers might think.
First and foremost, I'm thankful for my best friend in the world, Kristen who has given me a reason to live and love again.
I'm also thankful for my children, who keep me young.
I'm thankful for the fact that my snowplow's transmission completely quit when the plow was someplace not in the middle of the driveway, so that if need be, it can just stay there until someone hauls it away.
For that matter, I'm also thankful that I managed to make one pass down the driveway with the plow before the transmission gave out, so that at least today, Thanksgiving day 2013, my drive is somewhat clear.
I'm thankful for shear pins, which prevent a totally destroyed snowblower transmission when sticks that should not be where they were, jammed the auger blades.
I'm thankful that my snowblower can still effectively clear snow with only 3 of it's 4 auger blades functional, since I've hit so many sticks that I've used up my two spare shear pins.
Finally, I'm thankful that we have Windy Woods, and that I can live in such beauty. Enjoy the pictures I took on our walk last week Sunday.
