Hi, everyone! This week we're learning how to comment on blog posts! The video below will show you how, and I'll give you some quick pointers on what makes a good comment.
To Make a Good Comment:
- “This a great post!” is not a good comment. It is not helpful or informative. A good comment should say something about the post that is helpful to the author and to the other people reading the blog.
- A comment should also be easily readable. A comment such as “this Ain't a good, post,” is not easily readable. A comment that is easy readable is more likely to be helpful, and it casts a positive reflection on you. To make your comment readable, remember these tips:
- Use proper grammar.
- Use clear, concise words.
- Avoid using slang.
- Comments can criticize a post, but it must not be done in a mean way. A good way to criticize a post that you didn't think was good would be to say something like this: “Your post was pretty good, but I think you should do this to improve it…..”
It's as easy as that to make a good comment! Just remember to be polite and helpful, and you're on your way to becoming a first rate commenter!
